Stop paying for searches that were never going to book you.

Built from real ad experience

More clicks are not always more customers.

A wedding videographer can match searches for a videography course, a video-editing app, a salary question, or a wedding in a city they do not serve. Those people may be curious enough to click, but they are not looking to hire that business. A long, carefully reviewed negative list gives a limited wedding-business ad budget clearer boundaries.

Remove obvious mismatches

Start with high-confidence searches about education, careers, software, equipment, stock media, and unrelated events.

Respect your service area

Protect served markets and their states, then review suggested exclusions for states and major cities outside your territory.

Keep strategic choices optional

Price shoppers, directories, other vendor types, and competitor names stay off until you decide they fit your campaign strategy.

A guided four-step builder

You make the decisions. Wildwood handles the organization.

1

Describe your business

Choose your wedding specialty, add the services you also provide, and protect those concepts from exclusions.

2

Map where you work

Select a home market, served metros, whole states or selected markets, and whether you accept destination work.

3

Review traffic choices

Choose exclusion categories, check conflicts with your positive keywords, and decide whether to research competitors.

4

Preview before purchase

See category counts, geographic coverage, warnings, and representative examples before the $10 checkout.

5

Edit your saved result

Deselect a term, change an approved match type, and approve competitors before copying or downloading.

6

Install with confidence

Follow the included Google Ads steps and keep positive and negative keyword exports clearly separated.

Wedding-industry safeguards

Exclude the vendor work you do not offer—without risky shortcuts.

Cross-vendor lists stay separate

A wedding planner may choose complete photography concepts such as “wedding photographer” and “wedding photographers”. Wildwood will not automatically use broad fragments such as “photo”, which could block useful combined searches.

Photography, videography, planning, floristry, DJ and entertainment, and venue exclusions are each individually selectable. Your own industry and every additional service you offer are protected.

A practical starting point

Phrase and exact match can give a careful advertiser more control.

Plain positive keywords use broad match by default. Quotation marks use phrase match, and brackets use exact match. Positive phrase match can still include searches that express the keyword’s meaning, while a negative phrase keyword blocks searches containing that phrase in the same order. For a wedding business with a limited budget, focused phrase and exact keywords plus frequent Search Terms review can be a sensible starting approach. Broad match can be tested later when dependable conversion tracking and Smart Bidding are in place.

Location words are only one layer

City and state negatives supplement Google Ads location targeting; they do not replace it. The installation guide also explains Google’s Presence location option and actual geographic exclusions so a campaign is not relying on keyword text alone.

Questions

Before you build your list

What is a negative keyword?

A negative keyword tells Google Ads which searches should not trigger your ad. A careful list can help a wedding business avoid paying for searches about jobs, classes, software, equipment, services it does not offer, and locations it does not serve.

Will the tool block searches for services I actually offer?

The builder protects your primary industry, every additional service you select, your home market, and the locations you serve. It also checks supplied positive keywords for conflicts and deselects risky negatives for review.

Does it include locations outside my service area?

Yes, when destination work is not selected. The builder suggests unserved states and major city targets while protecting served cities, nearby accepted metro aliases, and their parent states. You review every geographic group before using it.

Can I exclude other kinds of wedding vendors?

Yes. Cross-vendor exclusions are optional and separated from the main list. For example, a planner who does not offer photography can review photography and photographer phrases without using risky fragments such as photo.

Can I add competitor names?

Competitor research is optional. When selected, Wildwood looks for relevant businesses in the markets you serve and asks you to approve complete business names. It never turns part of a brand into a generic negative keyword.

How do I add the list to Google Ads?

Your result includes a current step-by-step guide, one-per-line copy buttons, a text download, and a Google Ads Editor CSV. Positive starter keywords are kept separate so they cannot be pasted into the negative-keyword area by mistake.

Can I edit and download the list again?

Yes. One $10 purchase unlocks one saved industry and service-area project. You can review categories, change individual terms and match types, approve competitors, and download that project again without another payment.
